the ojo cabin is how individuals access The Ojo
The cabin is rented for a minimum two nights. We love animals but pets are not allowed.
The cabin has electricity, running water and hot shower, with a ‘Curve’ RV style toilet. The queen bed has a Beautyrest mattress and the cabin has gas heat for chilly nights. This ‘tiny’ house is located on the banks of the Rio Ojo Caliente and in the heart of northern New Mexico Bosque. Let the sound of the breeze in the cottonwoods and the whispering river put you to sleep. We are wildlife friendly but no negative interactions with any animal has been noted in the nearly ten years that the cabin has been housing guests. From our gate it is ten minutes to the Ojo Caliente Spa, an hour to Taos and 45 minutes to Santa Fe. Visit Georgia Okeefe’s Abiquiu stomping grounds a mere 20 minutes away. Wander our diverse 116 acres in solitude and be on the lookout for elk, beavers and a wide variety of birds, reptiles, and other animals. Cooking is not allowed in the cabin, but our very comfy pavilion is only a couple minutes walk from the cabin door. Here you will find a full kitchen, refrigerators, high speed wi-fi , an additional shower and a great place to relax in any weather. Sit under the shade of a cottonwood, kick back and listen to the sounds of the land or flex your muscles and throw some horseshoes!
Stay more than two nights to fully appreciate the beauty of The Ojo.

What else should I know?
We are located off US 285 in northern NM. We send complete directions once you book. The cabin is suitable for two adults but parents with young kids have made it work too. The Ojo is a place of solitude and we observe quiet time after dusk. You bring your own food and the cabin provides most everything else you might need for a comfortable stay. Our hiking trails range from easy to difficult and low intensity trail lighting at night makes it easy to move around key areas. Cabin guests always have the land to themselves although Glenna and Dave live here too. We interact with guests only as needed or requested. Please inquire with any questions before you book the cabin to make sure it is right for you.
