A Place for Connection
OUR STORY
We arrived in 2006 to land that had been left untended for many decades. Its spirit had long been waiting under the burden of invasive vegetation that had choked out sunlight and repressed growth.
Our arrival began a lifelong exploration of what it means to live in partnership with land and the discovery of the value of Place.

us and the ojo
People have long been part of the history of this place we call The Ojo. These 116 acres of lush riparian habitat and desert mesas contain our own modern artifacts and those of a thousand years before. What we do here now and into the future has never been more important.
We are evolving caretakers of this land that has always offered and continues to offer refuge and solace for wildlife and people alike.
Where is this place? We are in northern New Mexico in the Ojo Caliente Valley 45 minutes from Santa Fe, an hour to Taos, and 20 minutes from Abiquiu.
who we are
Little did we know the journey we were beginning!.
