Ojo Rainbow

The Ojo Rainbow was conceived and built in 2017 and paid for by monies from cabin guests and camping groups.

Why build another bridge?

The suspension bridge was not really designed for use by groups and it became obvious that another way to cross the river was needed. The Ojo Rainbow now makes the most direct connection from the campground to the pavilion. Its 8' wide deck and high triple arch construction makes for a spectacular walk across the river.

Plans for the bridge were located in January of 2017 and the building of the arch members began in May. Site development began in April and the three main arches were erected on June 28, 2017. The deck was completed by the end of July. The bridge is about 11' high in the center with the river bed averaging 5' below grade, this makes for a spectacular perch!
